For the 2009 through 2011 seasons, TOF is featuring Roberto Iarussi, Alexandra Rafalo and Roy Rivers in the following programs:


BE MY LOVE

        Remembering the Legendary Mario Lanza

TOF pays tribute to the legendary Italian tenor who is generally considered the first classical cross-over artist. Performed by our award-winning tenor Roberto Iarussi, whose voice and stage presence would do the famous Lanza proud, "Be My Love" is a presentation of all the Lanza favorites audiences have come to cherish, including the title song, "Because," "All the Things You Are," "O Sole Mio," "Serenade" and more. This popular concert, enhanced by TOF's rich orchestral arrangements, also features beloved romantic duets with award-winning guest soprano Alexandra Rafalo.


JOHN DENVER

The Tribute — with Roy Rivers

The songs of John Denver and the undeniably American images they evoke are at once soaring and contemplative. Award-winning singer/songwriter Roy Rivers, generally considered the eminent John Denver tribute artist, has performed and recorded with musical greats such as Dolly Parton and others, and possesses a voice undeniably reminiscent of the late troubadour. Roy's performances of the best of Denver's catalogue, featuring orchestral arrangements penned for JD himself and enhanced with multimedia images of a beautiful and haunting American landscapes, are a touching musical homage to this American legend.


A Tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber, Bernstein and Other Broadway Masters

TOF proudly presents an evening of some of the most memorable songs written for the theater. Performed by our award-winning artists and accompanied by TOF, this spectacular performance features hits from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most popular musicals, as well as select favorites from Leonard Bernstein and other Broadway superstars. This tribute concert of the best of Broadway is sure to please any audience.


ROMANZA

An Evening of Classic Love Songs

A duo of the most sought-after young international artists, soprano Alexandra Rafalo and tenor Roberto Iarussi perform a feast of classic and romantic favorites, including selections from the music of Rome to Broadway, with a sprinkling of Hollywood added to ensure there is a little something for everyone in this evening of musical splendor. PUCCINI IN LOVE

    A Celebration of His Romantic Classics

Performed by some of the brightest new stars on the music scene today, "Puccini in Love" explores this timeless composer's most beautiful and passionate music. In this semi-staged and narrated production, the voices of award-winning performers, nestled within Puccini's lush orchestral scores, capture the beauty of the great arias and duets in loves scenes from Puccini's greatest hits, including "La Boheme," "Tosca," "Madama Butterfly" and "Turandot."



PAVAROTTI

The Maestro and his Music

Arguably the greatest tenor of the last century, Luciano Pavarotti not only defined opera, but also reached out to cotemporary audiences with his famous "Pavarotti and Friends" concerts, performing selections from a variety of musical genres. Featuring award-winning tenor Roberto Iarussi, who sang for the Maestro in honor of his great achievements, this program also presents guest soprano Alexandra Rafalo in stirring performances of arias, duets and classic songs the Maestro truly owned and made famous.
